Lead Let’s Think English Tutor
Michael is Lead Let’s Think English Tutor for primary and secondary. Michael co-developed and created the Let’s Think English programme with Laurie Smith at King’s since 2009. Let’s Think in English (LTE) is a teaching programme which helps primary and secondary pupils develop the higher-order skills needed for success in English and is used by over 200 primary and 400 secondary schools in the UK.
Michael also directs and leads a voluntary collaborative of 19 schools in Islington called: Futurezone. Futurezone is a collaboration of schools aiming for excellent outcomes for children through: excellence in teaching and learning, developing inspiring leaders, collaboration between children and innovative business management.
He was a secondary English teacher before being seconded to lead teaching and learning for an Education Action Zone. He was a senior consultant for the school improvement team in Islington and has worked, advised and collaborated with the Arsenal Study Support, British Film Institute, English Heritage, Open University as well as leading LTE internationally in Europe and South East Asia.
